A dozen years after designing the house new owners engaged us to nearly double the size without overpowering the original form. A portion of this work includes a 2x10 wall of exposed framing is dyed red to create a set of feature shelves and display niches.  The framing is backed with Wonderboard which helps unify it with the concrete fireplace, formed from pieces of the original bevel siding.
